Underline specific authors

Hello,
I need to have a few specific authors underlined in the citation and bibliography, but cannot find how to do so. Is that even possible? Thank you!

Sorry, can’t be done. CSL has neither the ability to style different authors differently, nor the ability to test for variable content such as a specific author name. Honestly, this isn’t likely to change.

In your data, you can add some markup to the family name field, such as bold or italics. I do this to highlight graduate student co-authors on my CV kb:rich text bibliography [Zotero Documentation]

Otherwise, for underlining specific names, I do this as a post-processing step to find and replace all instances of “Wiernik, B. M.” to add the underlining.

If you use pandoc to generate theses bibliographies, you might even use a filter to do this kind of post-processing so that there are no further manual steps required.

I did not get it. Can you please explain it in more simple words?

Simply perform a find/replace operation when your bibliography is finished.

That is, use your word processor’s Find and Replace function (eg, Ctrl+H in Word on Windows)

Thanks, @Denis_Maier, and @bwiernik I have understood now.
