Journal Abbreviations

It’s recently been brought to my attention that some journals use
abbreviations with periods (“Exp. Brain Res.”) while others omit the
periods (“Exp Brain Res”). Are there any objections to adding an
option to the CSL schema to handle this? Alternatively, we could also
allow the include-period attribute on variables, but I’m not
sure this is necessary.

What would the option be? Specific to journals, or general to all
abbreviations?

Bruce

I think specific to journals. I’m not sure what other abbreviations
there are that it could apply to.

Of course, it may still be a while before I get to implementing this
in Zotero, but it seems like something that should be there.
