deadlines

If we’re going to finish 1.0, we need to set some hard deadlines. To
that end, I’d like to suggest:

August 7: any suggested changes must be registered in the tracker

August 14: schema is frozen and tagged as 1.0

August 21: reasonably complete draft of the spec

This last deadline may be too soon, but it’s in part because my
semester starts (formally) on the 25th, and my semester is likely to
be insanely busy.

Sounds prudent. Everything that I had on my list is in the tracker now.

The link to the comp.text.tex discussion that you refer to in tracker
comments is not included. I read it a couple of months ago, but don’t
have the link to hand, and don’t remember what “the implementation
question [you] asked there” was. I’ll respond as best I can, but
could you post again to the tracker and provide the link?

It’s easier to just summarize here:

The question there was about the ability to set the scope of ibid
handling to the page, and another mentioned the scope as the
paragraph.

It strikes me this is similar in concept, so wondering if there’s a
way to have a more generic solution (or at least consider that in this
wider context), and whether it could be a parameter option (rather
than a condition within the template body).
