Apropos of the thread with Fred I posted earlier, this JQuery-based
mockup is one outcome of that:

It’s very spare because of time and skill limitations, but I hope that
I included enough to at least communicate the basic idea, and how it
differs from Fred’s earlier prototype and Victor’s proposal.
I’d very much prefer to start with this sort of generic approach, only
adding lower-level stuff as concrete need arises.
Note: I didn’t include ability to add prefix and suffix content to the
"display order" panels, but that would be the idea.
