I have been using Zotero as my main reference managers for my dissertation. Since Zotero uses CSL, I was excited to read that CSL 1.1 would allow narrative citations. Since the original post from 2020 and teased the release for the year, I was wondering how one can contribute to the development of CSL 1.1?

There has not been any resolution to the questions raised in this thread, which means there’s no clear path forward for a CSL 1.1.
I have been working on citum as a clean-break design. It does include support for narrative citations, including optional advanced features like “name-memory” (which you can see on the demo page).
