Is it possible to render name-part affixes in Japanese author names?

I think it’s possible to modify a part of citeproc-js. If there is a way to replace the standard citeproc-js deployed as a part of Zotero with a customized one, I want to try creating citeproc-js specialized for researchers who write in English and Japanese.

It could be nice if there were a language-specific option in Zotero and citeproc-js. However, due to the diversity of languages and needs, I guess proposing a change as a part of the standard is a little complicated.

How and when is a Name-part Order decided?

Hi, I’m creating a CSL(-M) style file and have a question regarding Name-part Order. As described in the document, there are two orders: “given-name family-name” and “family-name given-name.” I wonder where and when the order is decided. I tried both citeproc-js and citeproc-lua. It seems that citeproc-js identify an order depending on the language property of a bibliography item. However, citeproc-lua seems to distinguish an order for each name (I could mix so-called Latin names and Japanese…
