Hi,

recently some test fixtures have been added to check name-part affixes:

name\_ParsedCommaDelimitedDroppingParticleNormalOrderingWithAffixes
name\_ParsedDroppingParticleWithAffixes
name\_ParsedDroppingParticleWithApostrophe
name\_ParsedNonDroppingParticleWithAffixes
name\_ParsedNonDroppingParticleWithApostrophe
name\_ParsedUpperCaseNonDroppingParticle

name\_namepartAffixes
name\_namepartAffixes
name\_namepartAffixesNameAsSortOrder
name\_namepartAffixesNameAsSortOrder
name\_namepartAffixesNameAsSortOrderDemoteNonDroppingParticle
name\_namepartAffixesNameAsSortOrderDemoteNonDroppingParticle

This second group is specific about its goal.

The problem is that, according to the schema and the specification,
name-part may have font-formatting and test-case attributes, but not
prefix and suffix attributes. I checked and I didn’t find any
modification to the schema, am I right?

In other terms, if I understand it correctly, the CSL in those tests is
not valid. What should I do? Are prefixes going to be added to
name-parts (I wouldn’t have any objection)?–

Andrea,

Sorry for any confusion. Affixes on name-parts is still at the
proposal stage, although (so far) it’s looking good for adoption.

Hi Frank,

no problem, my fault… the fact is that I’m not able to find a way to
receive a notification for new schema issues and related comments from
github. Can anyone help me on this? My account on github is arossato.

See [Allow affixes on cs:name-part · Issue #47 · citation-style-language/schema · GitHub](https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/issues/47) . Support
for affixes on cs:name-part is slated for CSL 1.0.1.

Are you watching the [GitHub - citation-style-language/schema: Citation Style Language schema](https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema) and
[GitHub - citation-style-language/documentation: Citation Style Language documentation](https://github.com/citation-style-language/documentation) repositories?
