Hello,

All the csl files now don’t specify the delimiter for an author (or
contributor), so it got me confused. I think this stems from the
meaning of the tag:

```
     <author suffix=", "/>
```

I always read it as:

```
 <group prefix="" suffix=", " delimiter="">
	 <author/>
 </group>
```

But am I correct that instead the right meaning is:

```
 <group prefix="" suffix="" delimiter=", ">
	 <author/>
 </group>
```

Similarly when is defined:

```
<defaults>
	<author>
 		<name suffix=", " />
	</author>
</defaults>
```

Btw, when is defined:

```
<contributor name-as-sort-order="no">
	<name and="symbol" initialize-with="."/>
	<label term-set="roles-short" prefix=", " text-
```

transform=“capitalize”/\>

Does the label then come after every name, or only after the last one?

First, let me just say that classes started this week (and I have a
house guest), so I’ve not had much time to focus on this. But quickly
…

That’s how I read it.

No. Perhaps there’s just a bug in the styles.

The latter. I suppose it might be more clear if we used “names” or
“name-list” instead of the singular?

I think that would be a good idea. Not just name → names but also
author → authors etc. of course.

OK, there’s a proposal on the table to change:

1. cs:name to cs:names

2. cs:author/cs:editor/cs:translator/cs:publisher to plural also

note: the last may seem weird, but there can be more than one
publisher, so we’d need it for consistency.

Please vote on each of these separately.

+1 for both.

+1 for names, abstain for authors/editors/translators/etc.
